Journalling idea

Hi,

When reading about the progress of the journalling system
in DragonFly, I had an interesting idea.

In theory, you can enable journalling on a partition, then
"delay" the journal stream by a certain amount of time (say,
one hour) e.g. by spooling it on another partition, and then
apply it to a backup copy of the file system. Would that be
possible with DragonFly's journalling?

The result would be that the backup filesystem represented
the state of the original filesystem as of one hour earlier.
It would be a "moving snapshot", so to speak, which could
be useful for file recovery (accidental rm) and debugging.

Would that work, or am I dreaming?

Best regards
   Oliver
