Linux emulation [was: Re: shared memory borked?]

Something is happening with the Linux emulation layer.

Try reinstalling linux_base from ports:

[22:32] [root@purgatory] (37) {0} # make install
===>  Installing for linux_base-7.1_5
===>   Generating temporary packing list
===> Checking if emulators/linux_base already installed
kern.fallback_elf_brand: 3 -> 3
glibc-common-2.2.4-32.i386.rpm
glibc-2.2.4-32.i386.rpm
redhat-release-7.1-1.noarch.rpm
setup-2.4.7-1.noarch.rpm
filesystem-2.0.7-1.noarch.rpm
basesystem-7.0-2.noarch.rpm
termcap-11.0.1-8.noarch.rpm
db1-1.85-5.i386.rpm
execution of db1-1.85-5 script failed, exit status 0
*** Error code 1

At the same time:

Jul 30 22:33:11 purgatory /kernel: pid 20316 (ldconfig), uid 0: exited
on signal 11 (core dumped)

[22:33] [root@purgatory] (38) {1} # rpm -qp --scripts /usr/ports/distfiles/rpm/db3-3.1.17-7.i386.rpm
postinstall program: /sbin/ldconfig
postuninstall program: /sbin/ldconfig

/sbin/ldconfig is installed by glibc-2.2.4-32.i386.rpm.

[22:35] [root@purgatory] (42) {0} # file /usr/compat/linux/sbin/ldconfig
/usr/compat/linux/sbin/ldconfig: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386,
version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, statically linked, stripped

Note the SYSV.

Odd though, since the fallback brand is set to 3.
