Hi,

There is a file 'x11-freeze.tgz' in my $HOME/crash.

Its contents and the story as in the README.txt in it is:

>cat README.txt

This archive contains the following files besides this README file.

dmesg.txt:               ASCII C++ program text

ttys.txt: ASCII English text
uname.txt: ASCII text

xdm.core-oneDayb4latest: ELF 32-bit LSB core file Intel 80386, version
1 (SYSV), SVR4-style, from 'xdm'

I was getting the freezes very often on X but it never core dumped again.
When the freeze happens I cannot even toggle the Num lock on the key board.
It gets stuck.

So I tried to get a core dump by pressing <ctrl><alt><esc> and it
dropped to ddb prompt but the keyboard
would not function for me to type 'call dumpsys' in the ddb prompt.

I then noticed a message on the console that xdm has core dumped.
I saw that there were many versions for /xdm.core

So I disabled xdm in /etc/ttys to see if the ststem would freeze on a
manual 'startx'.
But X wouldn't start. The error message is in "startx-error.txt"

Thanks :-)
