Pango assertion failed in Firefox. Cannot use the attach file link in Gmail. Also affects OpenOffice

I am getting this error

I guess this pango error is the reason why Open Office exits at start.

Firefox becomes slowafter this error. Flash also does not work after
the next error :-(
Some ideas on howto fix this would be great :-D
