    I incorporated the bits in the patch that weren't already dealt with,
    I'll commit the adjustments a little later today.  I had already done
    all the kmalloc length adjustments but I missed some of the node locks.
    Note that critical sections are not needed, interrupts cannot call
    high-level VFS ops.
