Better this than keeping sendmail only.
This is also what NetBSD had before, default sendmail and postfix as a
choice. Then they made a wise choise and removed the buggy, archaic
sendmail from the base leaving it in the pkgsrc as an option for
the people who were used to it and who were still using it.
Sendmail was added to the base simply becouse there was no vital
option back in the time.
People got used to it and learned to set it up. After that those old
timers screemed so loud everybody suggested this change that noone
really cared to pull the strings in right direction.
Hopefully DragonflyBSD will again show it's modern and dynamic nature
and get rid of the sick dinosaur and hopefully the people defending
sendmail will care more for their O.S of choice making it more secure
than they care for single piece of buggy software.
It's not the first time Matt's tottally right. Bashing sendmail makes
a lot of sense. It does not deserve to exist in a modern O.S as DFlyBSD.

Marcin.
