add /usr/pkg/xorg/lib to /etc/defaults/rc.conf:ldconfig_paths ?

Would it be reasonable to add /usr/pkg/xorg/lib to ldconfig_paths in
/etc/defaults/rc.conf now?  Do I need to submit a patch?  Thanks.
