Hi,

Adrian Nida has written a pkgsrc howto on DragonFly wiki:
http://wiki.dragonflybsd.org/index.php/HOWTO/pkgsrc. You should find
it useful.

1. As Thomas already mentioned, you might want to stick with 1.2
release and then upgrade to Production/stable.

2. Yep, and you can also get 
http://ftp.fortunaty.net/DragonFly/dcvs.tar.bz2 (a cvs repository),
then checkout Production/stable.
