It would be nice if they mentioned what version
of FreeBSD it was based on.

Its pretty difficult to compete with MS and Apple
at the user interface level on the desktop. MS
has 100 guys on salary working on it, so even
with a lower talent level the shear volume of
"stuff" just can't be matched with a handful of
part-timers. The features gap just grows wider
and wider over time.
