NTPD unable to adjust local clock

From: Jurij <jurij_k@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Hello!

I seem to have a problem running ntpd on

DragonFly rock.siix.com 1.1-Stable DragonFly 1.1-Stable #2: Wed Mar 30 02:25:29 CEST 2005 root@xxxxxxxxxxxxx:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC-SMP i386

For some reason the clock does not get adjusted - if anything, the offset is increasing.

I do not think it is a problem with kernel secure level (from what I understand secure level 2 prohibits changes of more that 1 sec to the local clock)

rock# sysctl -a | grep secure
kern.securelevel: 1

That said, ntpdate works without a problem.

This is the output I get if I run ntpd manually:

Tue Apr 5 23:51:00 CEST 2005
rock# ntpd -d -s -f /etc/ntp.conf
ntp engine ready

Does anyone else have this problem?

Any advice will be appreciated!
