Hi, i wanted to print dragon fly docs (to learn...im completely new in

Welcome!

Migrating from Linux to a BSD UNIX does have a
bit of a learning curve, but it is well worth it.

but i onyl found the html version in
http://leaf.dragonflybsd.org/~justin/handbook/

Those should print just fine. If need be, throw your own css atop them to control print format and fonts as you would prefer them.

BTW, why is the reason that some names like network interface names are named differently between linux and dragonbsd?

They differ between various BSD and other UNIX systems as well.

Usually that means they work a bit differently and
have different source code and authors also -
not to mention licenses.

is there and updated pdf or printable html elsewhere?

Print / 'save as pdf', then review and/or print. Native to many desktop environments and built-in (export) to OpenOffice.
