Some apps still dont build using pkgsrc(ie. gtk2).
For the moment having prebuilt ports packages
<http://wiki.dragonflybsd.org/index.php/Packages/fortunaty>
still is favorable for most.
But then if pkgsrc gets ironed out it will be my(the majority's?)
preferred package manager.
