RSA vs DSA

I heard from a reputable source that DSA is better than RSA for login.  I
have been looking on the web, and I have read that (a) RSA is faster to
verify and (b) RSA is just a better protocol.

Is there something I've missed?  This person knows what they are talking
about, so I have no reason to doubt them.
