I decided to install Dfly-stable on my notebook(Acer TravelMate 290 
series) and it went well after setting hw.pci_disable_bios_route=1 at 
first menu. ACPI must be disabled, otherwise it hangs very early during 
kernel boot.

USB is completely dead after that option and wireless card is not 
recognized (Intel 2200BG). Removing ehci from kernel would help?

Btw: FreeBSD 5.3 hangs very early during kernel boot. According to 
google it has to be something with AGP - it was reported (and patch 
provided) over a year ago and no luck there.
