Can you be a bit more verbose.

a) Are you using VESA or APM or other stuff which results in BIOS calls?
b) Are you using SMP / HTT?
c) Your machine is ... with verbose dmesg ...

Please, keep in mind that we developers can't / don't want to hack into
either your machine or your mind. You have to provide us with some hints
to find and hopefully fix your problems.
