for starters those things are ARM, not MIPS (see the product brief). The
reason why we don't have a port for platform XYZ isn't because nobody
thought of it, or because we can't afford to buy a development board for
99 USD, but rather because we lack the manpower.
You make it sound easy, to just "pull the MIPS asm code from FreeBSD"...
well, considering that it took two dedicated google summer of code +
additional development throughout the year to get the x86_64 port baked,
an architecture arguably similar to x86, I don't see a port to any other
platform happening any time soon.
That being said, if you are volunteering to do an ARM port, please go
ahead, I'd definitely like to see us supporting ARM SoCs.
