For the record, there have been some problems with the lockf accounting
leading to incorrect locking in some cases or panics because of the
assertions all over the place. I don't think the lockf code and the
filesystems corruptions are related, so if you have valuable data on your
disk, stay with an older kernel. Otherwise, if you want to use a more
recent kernel, do update, most if not all bugs in the lockf code are fixed.
