I don't like to cut and paste other people's writing for my log entries,
so I'm setting up a mailing list archive.  That way, I can link directly
to what somebody wrote, or point out a generally interesting thread of
discussion with having to paraphrase or wait until it's over.  

However, I don't have the old messages to fill it up.  If you get a
spare moment to pull them out, it would make it more complete...
