and then it hangs. I am sure its the SATA or something related to the NForce2 IDE controller causing this havoc.
It is the nForce2 controller David. I just replaced my older VIA 686
based board with the Asus a7n8x board I bought a while ago (and never
got around to put in). It hangs during booting on the resetting devices
as well.
My time's like a yo-yo at the moment so I have no idea when I get around
to look closer to thing/do stuff (like the list of network papers).
