why on earth does ext2_read cascade to ufs_*? is that the operation on the /dev vnode which is on an ufs? but then it should be specfs, or not? i'm puzzled. if this isn't fishy, somebody gotta explain to me how reads really run through the kernel until they reach the DMA.

cheers
