Heh.  Well, the reason I was interested is that net-snmp is a prerequisite
for kde-network (IIRC) but I soon discovered that I could just edit out
the line from the kde Makefile, and so I stopped worrying about it.

It seems that some people really/actually/truly use the port, so maybe the
two of you should get together and make a formal DFly port override?
