   Ah, interesting.  I think this is related to the reports of clock problems,
   e.g. people's clocks going too fast or too slow.

   My guess is that clock_gettime(), which calls nanotime() in the kernel,
   is getting an illegal nanoseconds field.

   I've been trying to find that bug for weeks, I'll focus on checking the
   nanoseconds calculation tomorrow.  Er, later today.

Oh good... Then the CMOS battery isn't dying on my brand new machine! :-) That hopefully explains the clock problems I've noticed.
