Network problems

For the last 10 days (after a buildworld+buildkernel I think, but I'm not
sure) I had some strange network problems. First of all inetd doesn't
start at boot. If I try to use the related script in /etc/rc.d nothing
happens, whatever command I use (start,stop,status...), not even a log
entry. Similar problem for the cyrus imap server. Second I'm unable to
connect to any ftp site. I get a "Connection Refused" every time. The nat
rules I use on the machine that shares my internet connection haven't
changed for quite a while, and I can ftp from the other machine, so I
think the problem isn't there. If I try a traceroute I always get "sendto:
Invalid argument". This happens with internet, lan and localhost
addresses. I rebuilt world and kernel, and checked configuration files,
but I couldn't find anything wrong.
