    This is why I am not removing gcc2 any time soon :-)

    gcc3 should be considered experimental.

    I am probably going to rework the gcc3 build infrastructure so we can
    use the base GNU distribution for gcc3 verbatim, without modification.
    It's what I did with binutils214 and it turned out to be fairly easy
    to do.  That will make it easy to keep in synch with GCC.

    However, I am rapidly running out of time.  I'm going off for a week
    and will have only sporatic connectivity (once or twice a day), though
    there might be a day or two where I will be on longer.  So I probably
    won't get around to it until next weekend.
