So far D510MO from Intel is the only not-so-old computer around me
that won't boot with I/O APIC enabled:

To be more precise, it boots, but ahci driver times out and the
HAMMER partition cannot be detected.  It doesn't respond to keyboard
so I couldn't scroll back the console.  If you're interested, the dmesg
logs for I/O APIC enabled(NG) or disabled(OK) available on leaf as
~y0netan1/d510mo-dmesgs.tar.xz .  Unfortunately the message buffer doesn't
contain the error messages from ahci driver.
