To cut the long story short we are now able to use UTF8 as system encoding (by setting
LANG to en_US.UTF-8, f.ex.) and see funny non-ASCII characters on filesystems like
FAT32 and ISO9660.

You need a complete buildkernel & buildworld to make everything fit nice.
