So what's in /etc/make.conf?

eactly all of what "/etc/mk.conf" has.


/etc/mk.conf is for pkgsrc. /etc/make.conf is for the system build.

thanks for this. i will take it as a gift :-) DragonFlyBSD Documentation/Guide/FAQs do not contain this distinction.

Then I'll give you another gift, whenever you wonder something about DF try to see if there's a man-page, most of the system is quite well-documented (much thanks to Sascha Wildner).


For example the make.conf man-page is quite informative (it says among other thing that there is no option WANT_GCC41, gcc41 will be compiled by default and you'll have to set NO_GCC if you don't want it).
