    I am not particularly interested in supporting UFS2 myself, it has all
    the same problems that UFS has and only fixes the large filesystem size
    issue.

I'd much prefer that we burn our cycles porting something like JFS.

Are you refering to the ibm JFS, which is GPLed? Or are you talking in about a journalling filesystem in general?
