DragonFlyBSD vs Linux

Hi,
I really like the ideas how dragonfly handles SMP. I'm convinced that
in terms of performance and scalability, DragonFlyBSD may be better than
FreeBSD5.0.
But what about Linux, is  Linux doing the same way of FreeBSD?
FreeBSD looks like is far from behind of Linux when linux kernel 2.6 is out.
