I'm just not sure if this is workable. I put the same drive in a Dell and
couldn't get past the device/slice name in the installation. I was hoping
if the Dell installed, then my controller would be the issue. My laptop has
some really important stuff I use often.
Anyway, I find it hard to believe no one has had a similar problem yet. I
know it's an older laptop, but it IS a P2, and it DOES run FreeBSD
flawlessly. But every time I try DFly, it chokes.
I saw the post about the ATA fixes. I don't think they have any bearing on
my box, but I was hopeful maybe someone else could reproduce my issue.
