Moving RaidFrame and/or Vinum to userland under DragonFly would be an
extremely interesting and useful project, not so much because you
would want to run them in userland, but in order to build and prove
out a userland infrastructure for DEV that is robust (e.g. survives
someone killing the user process!). I should have DEV converted into
a message-passing subsystem early next week (it's the next thing on my
    list!).

Such a project would make an excellent undergrad paper. In fact, it
would make an excellent Grad project as well. There are simply a ton
of things that could be investigated.

Beware! :-)

Last time I tried to run RaidFrame on FreeBSD 5.x, it was
extremely unstable. It panic'ed and done a lot of obscure
	things. JFYI.
