Re: git: nrelease - gui - Change window manager, cpdup additional directories
:[16:18] <@dillon> the X environment works fairly well but even though
:that gui is pretty it isn't very good. you have to use menus to start
:programs up instead of buttons. fvwm is a bit nicer so I'm going to
:change the window manager to fvwm
:I would assert that I believe most people would prefer fluxbox to fvwm.
If you guys want fluxbox you guys need to make it work.
Part of the problem with it is that idesktop failed to build,
along with some other things that were integrated into
the fluxbox install. That made it essentially non-functional.
Just in general the nrelease gui build is very difficult
to build due to the number of packages involved. fvwm2
doesn't have anywhere near the same number of dependencies
required to get basic buttons, menus, and screen paging working.
Even after removing some of the leaf packages I still had to
do several manual edits in /usr/include to get the package
build past certain points, and then undo those edits to get
the package build past other points. It was quite frustrating.
