:trying to mirror a tree you don't own.  It also breaks buildworld
:as a non-root user, but apparently another commit(17e9c4cc) has fixed
:the issue.

    Oops, I thought I fixed the issue with chowning directories as non-root,
    but I didn't.

    I'll get both issues fixed.

    Sigh. should I roll another 2.2.1 with these fixes (once I get them
    in)?  It hasn't been announced yet so I could roll another one.
