This needs a little explanation for future reference, I think. I have seen
many developers and users wondering why so many vendors are using FTDI
vendor ID and why there is pattern in these product ID's.

Obtaining unique vendor ID from USB-IF (www.usb.org) costs money. So, it's
part of FTDI business to share his product ID's space with customers. You
can get 8 product IDs guaranteed to be unique from FTDI.
