I should also mention that the DVD is confirmed to work - CDs boot, though I
don't have anything on CD recent enough to be expected to work with the
controller.  Ubuntu 5.04 complained, for instance.

(Probably did have it left on AHCI for the CD tests, which wouldn't help.)
