I think it's best that it automatically gets unmounted when removed (a
bit differently from normal, because the drive isn't there anymore). If
any data is still in buffers, it's discarded. Also, don't enable
read/write buffers or softupdates on drives like this. Isn't this what
devd's supposed to do? Also, this is imo preferred behaviour for CD's as
well, with the added advantage that you can intercept an eject command
to be able to umount first and only then release the disc(-drawer).
