Yes, thanks, it worked!  If anyone else cares to try, I changed two
files:
work/hotspot/src/share/vm/opto/regmask.hpp and
work/hotspot/src/share/vm/opto/regmask.cpp

I just substituted _Q for _A in both files and restarted
the build.
