    Ah.  Then I may be saved :-).  Definitely install the most recent HEAD,
    then do a manual fsck, and if the problem occurs again we will know
    that there are issues beyond the contigmalloc problem that still exist.

    Account looks fine.  I see some authentication failures in the logs,
    6 attempts today bewteen 5:18 and 5:23, but they don't say which 
    username that was or why.

    Try using ssh -v, it may give you more info, and remember to use the
    correct username ('saw') if that isn't the username you are logged
    into as on your client.

    EMail me privately if you still have problems getting into leaf and 
    you want to try to figure it out.
