error messages with aic7xxx and SMP

I'm seeing some error messages from the aic7xxx driver that I think
are related to interrupt routing as this message doesn't appear in
GENERIC (uni-processor). The kernel config is GENERIC with the
following changes

#cpu            I386_CPU
#cpu            I486_CPU
#cpu            I586_CPU
cpu             I686_CPU
options         SMP
options         APIC_IO

based on CVSup'd sources from 9/13. The error which repeats many (~11)
times with only changes in the number after 'probe' is

. ..
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Dump Card State Ends >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
ahd0: Timedout SCB already complete. Interrupts may not be functioning.
(probe7:ahd0:0:3:0): SCB 0xa - timed out
. ..

This is a dual Xeon system based on the Intel E7520 chipset which has
an Adaptec SCSI controller.

ahd0@pci4:3:0:  class=0x010000 card=0xffff9005 chip=0x801f9005 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00
    vendor   = 'Adaptec'
    device   = 'AIC-7902 Ultra320 SCSI Host Adapter'
    class    = mass storage
    subclass = SCSI
ahd1@pci4:3:1:  class=0x010000 card=0xffff9005 chip=0x801f9005 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00
    vendor   = 'Adaptec'
    device   = 'AIC-7902 Ultra320 SCSI Host Adapter'
    class    = mass storage
    subclass = SCSI

No SCSI disks are connected to the Adaptec (boots off of ATA drive)
and the system ultimately comes up. If anyone wants to take a look at
this, I'd be happy to provide more info.
