    Were you using ACPI before?  If not then try booting 1.0 with ACPI
    turned off (option 2 on the boot menu) and see if the re card works.

    I don't think we even *had* an re driver prior to July 7th. Joerg
    imported it from FreeBSD.    If that's the case, then there could very
    well be issues with it.

:assistance in this matter. In the meantime I have placed a 3COM network
:card in the box that works fine (3c90x).
