I have the same problem with the latest source. Backing to rev 1.10 and 1.2
of if_vr.c and if_vrreg.h makes it work again.

dmesg:
vr0: <VIA VT6102 Rhine II 10/100BaseTX> port 0xd800-0xd8ff mem 0xeb000000-0xeb0000ff irq 10 at device 12.0 on pci0
installed MI handler for int 10
vr0: Ethernet address: 00:50:ba:1c:81:29
miibus0: <MII bus> on vr0
ukphy0: <Generic IEEE 802.3u media interface> on miibus0
ukphy0: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto

pciconf:
vr0@pci0:12:0: class=0x020000 card=0x14001186 chip=0x30651106 rev=0x43 hdr=0x00
