SMP: giving up on X buffers

I've not seen this on UP machines so I think it's because of SMP.

DragonFly often fails when syncing disks at shutdown time. Even if
the first thing I do after booting the machine is to log in and
run 'shutdown -r now' it sometimes gives up on some buffers.

Is there something I can do to help find what's the issue?
