That's a test HDD that I've been installing to over and over.  Whatever
was there before, should've been blown away by an immediately preceding
"newfs /mnt/var" command, I think.

Hmm, the difference here might be that I ran "newfs /mnt/var" more than
once.  I'll try to reproduce it by doing that again, and get back to
you.
