dhclient on boot

I've got a system with a number of NICs installed. Some use dhclient 
some don't. On boot if dhclient for one of the NICs fails then boot 
hangs at that point and fails to init any of the other cards, or even to 
continue booting. Maybe a timeout could be added by default?
