IDE problems...

DVD playback typically doesn't work with an IDE DVD player...

mplayer, ogle, and vlc all complain:

libdvdread: Could not open device with libdvdcss.
libdvdread: Can't open /dev/dvd for reading
Couldn't open DVD device: /dev/dvd

And dmesg shows:

acd0: SEND_KEY - ILLEGAL REQUEST asc=0x55 ascq=0x00 error=0x04

The odd thing is that it does, very rarely, work.  I'd say I've tried 
about 20 times this afternoon, and it's worked twice, both times after a 
cold boot, iirc.
