NAME
     perror -- print an error number as a string

SYNOPSIS
     perror number

DESCRIPTION
     The perror program takes a raw errno value and prints it as a string.

ENVIRONMENT
     The LANG, LC_ALL and LC_MESSAGES environment variables affect the
     execution of perror as described in environ(7).

     The perror program first appeared in FreeBSD 8.0.
