echo0(1) DragonFly General Commands Manual echo0(1)

NAME

echo0 - print arguments to stdout, separated by 0-byte

SYNOPSIS

echo0 [ args ]

DESCRIPTION

echo0 prints its command line arguments to stdout, like echo. However, echo0 puts a zero-byte after each argument, including the last one, and does not print a final newline. This can be used to print arguments containing spaces, newlines, etc., in a way which will prevent improper interpretation of those characters. The output of echo0 is suitable for input into things like perl -0, xargs -0, or tar --null. The -print0 argument to find produces output in the same format.

OPTIONS

None.
